Environmental Art and Materia Primordiale Exhibition at Rocca di Manerba
“Materia Primordiale” is on display at the Valtenesi Civic Archaeological Museum in Manerba del Garda, featuring works by Trentino artists Matteo Cretti and Massimiliano Rosa. The exhibition accompanies the presentation of the first environmental art piece along the route to the Rocca, conceived and created by Cretti with curatorial support from Rosa, artistic director of Ledro Land Art. The project links contemporary art, the natural environment, and historical heritage using reclaimed materials and objects connected to the memory of work.
The show, organized in collaboration with the Associazione Artisti Bresciani, will run until **September 27, 2026**, with free admission. Cretti reworks old tools, discarded items, and industrial elements, while Rosa uses recovered iron and traditional craft tools from the Ledro Valley. The works are designed to engage with Manerba’s archaeological and landscape setting, reframing worn materials into narratives about memory, time, and regeneration.
