Montichiari Accident: Woman Critically Injured, 1-Year-Old Daughter Unhurt

A serious crash in Montichiari on Wednesday, August 5, shortly after 8:30 a.m. on Via Mantova involved two cars that collided head-on. A 40-year-old woman traveling with her 1-year-old daughter was trapped inside the vehicle; firefighters freed her from the wreckage before she was taken to hospital in “red code.” Her condition is reported as critical, while the child escaped the crash uninjured.

The other driver, a 34-year-old man, was also hurt and was admitted with significant injuries, though initial information suggests he is not in danger of death. Ambulance services, a medical emergency team, and the Carabinieri responded to the scene to reconstruct the events and determine the causes, which are still under investigation.
