Wildfire on Monte Cingla

A wildfire broke out on Monte Cingla on Monday, August 10, around 10 p.m., spreading through the woods between Valvestino and Bondone, in the Parco Alto Garda Bresciano and the Chiese Valley. The fire flared up on three fronts within minutes, and firefighters reported that the response was complicated by the steep and difficult terrain.

The first crews were dispatched from Curno, with additional resources from the province expected to be deployed to help contain the blaze. Earlier the same day, another fire affected a natural area near the Rocca di Manerba del Garda, where the burned area was reported as limited.
