Workplace Accident in Polpenazze Leaves 44-Year-Old Worker Injured

A workplace accident occurred on Wednesday, 12 August, in the afternoon at a waste treatment and materials recovery facility in Polpenazze del Garda. A 44-year-old worker fell from a height of about three meters while cleaning machinery. The alarm was raised around 3:30 p.m.

Emergency services, including a medical unit and an ambulance, responded and the man was taken urgently to the Civil Hospital in Brescia, where he was admitted in “red code” condition. His injuries are described as serious, but initial information indicates he is not in immediate danger of death.

On site, health and safety technicians from the local health protection agency and the Carabinieri carried out checks to reconstruct the fall and verify compliance with safety procedures at the plant.
