Carabinieri Arrest Two Over Bicycle Theft in Bardolino

Two men were arrested in Bardolino after a bicycle theft reported at the end of July, with the Carabinieri accusing a 41-year-old Tunisian and a 28-year-old Sri Lankan resident of the Verona area of aggravated theft. Officers identified them during summer patrols in the town center and, using municipal CCTV footage, spotted them again shortly after riding two new bicycles marked as belonging to a rental company.

A subsequent search led to the recovery of a pair of pliers and a padlock. After two residents reported their bicycles stolen, the seized bikes were found to match the reported models and were returned to their owners. Following the required formalities, the two suspects were taken to Montorio prison pending action by the judicial authority.
