Attempted Theft: Two Reported in Cavaion

A suspected attempted theft at the Garda Est service area in Cavaion Veronese was reported during Ferragosto checks on the A22 carried out by the State Police. Two Italian men living outside the province were reported on foot for aggravated attempted theft and for possession of an unauthorized device after a driver spotted them near a tourist’s car and alerted authorities.

The suspects reportedly left quickly, but their vehicle was identified and stopped near the Nogaredo Est service area by officers from the Trento sub-section. During a search, police found a jammer hidden inside a device resembling a portable charger, allegedly capable of interfering with remote controls and preventing the car doors from closing properly.
