Francesco Misino on Display at Museo Lechi in Montichiari

The exhibition “Astrolabio” by painter Francesco Misino will open on Saturday, 29 August at 4:00 pm at the ground-floor galleries of the Museo Lechi in Montichiari. It will run until 27 September. The show presents works by the Puglian-born, Veneto-based artist, produced in collaboration with Montichiari Musei and under the patronage of the Municipality of Montichiari.

Born in Bisceglie (Bari) on 21 December 1952, Misino studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bari and later taught Painting Disciplines at the Verona State Art High School from 1976 to 2011, where he still lives and works. His career includes exhibitions such as “Penelope” (1986, Verona), “Il Bandolo della Matassa” (1987, Savona) and “I Materiali” (1990, Verona), as well as later shows including “Clessidra” (2002) and “Per filo e per segno” (2002). Curated with critical commentary by Lia Franzia, the exhibition highlights themes of time and memory through materials and imagery, including knotted ropes, straw threads and glass marbles, alongside strengthened colors and collage interventions.

“Astrolabio” will be open from Wednesday to Saturday, 10:00 am–1:00 pm and 2:30–6:00 pm, and on Sundays from 3:00–7:00 pm. The project is presented as part of Montichiari Musei’s activities.
