Garda Karate Team Wins Gold as Alessio Locatelli Takes Top Honors at 37th Trofeo Alpe Adria

The Garda Karate Team took part in the 37th International Open in karate and parakarate in Lignano Sabbiadoro on August 21-22, 2025, held at the Bella Italia Village, with 246 clubs and nearly 1,000 athletes competing across six tatami.

The team’s top result came in parakarate: Alessio Locatelli won gold and helped the Garda Karate Team finish fifth in the overall parakarate standings. In kumite, Martina Forgioli earned a bronze medal, while Fabio Venosta placed fifth and narrowly missed the podium; Isabella Vigevani finished seventh. The competition was seen as a key step in the club’s season planning, building on months of training ahead of the next stage of activity.
