Giant 12-Kilo Pike Caught in Alto Garda

A 12-kilogram pike was caught in the Upper Lake Garda waters between Gargnano and Toscolano Maderno by Davide Bertoli, after what he described as a particularly demanding fight that he managed to bring to shore with the help of friends Mattia Rossi and Gabriele Grigolon.

The catch is not the lake’s record: the Garda pike record belongs to a specimen weighing 21.6 kilograms, measuring 145 centimeters, caught in 2016 by Alberto Raina in Riva del Garda. Still, Bertoli’s 12-kilogram fish is among the larger catches in the area and was shared by the three anglers.
