Grifo, Raffica and Benamati Shine at the 76th Centomiglia del Garda

The 76th Centomiglia del Garda will take place on 5-6 September, with races and on-the-water activities organized by Circolo Vela Gargnano. In Bogliaco, teams are already preparing boats and crews ahead of a regatta featuring historic boats, renewed projects and new sailing entries.

Among the most anticipated boats is **Grifo**, which arrived in Bogliaco in rainy conditions and has been brought to its new configuration during the rigging operations. The sailing ship, linked to the history of the Libera Class and the Centomiglia, has been presented following a major transformation and will compete in the **ORC** category. Also confirmed is **René Raffica HUN 89**, a former Libera known previously as René Lezard, with past success including four consecutive wins in the Rund Um (1992-1995) on Lake Constance.

The entry list also includes **Roberto Benamati**, a 13-time Centomiglia winner in different roles aboard. After competing in the 75th edition with his Star, Benamati returns on the **Cape 31 Milkwave ITA 78**, owned by Alessandro Lotto and Flavio Campana. The event is organized by Circolo Vela Gargnano on behalf of the Italian Sailing Federation, with support from partners and institutions, and the 2026 program outlines both sporting and onshore activities for the weekend.
