MAG Riva del Garda Opens Enrollment for Educational Programs

Registrations are open in Riva del Garda for the Museo Alto Garda’s educational programmes for the 2026/27 school year, with applications accepted from 7 September to 30 October 2026. The “MAG Scuole” offer is aimed at all school levels, from nursery to upper secondary, covering topics including archaeology, history, art, science, geography and civic education.

New for the school year are tactile, accessible learning paths for students with disabilities, including “In tutti i sensi”, the tactile visit “L’arte prende senso”, the hands-on workshop “Vestìti d’arte” focused on fabrics and weaves, and “Sense the Museum”, delivered using CLIL methodology in English. The museum also highlights local documentary heritage through its Photo Archive, with workshops such as “L’archivio svelato” and “Dentro l’archivio”, while the “Principato vescovile” route uses documents and seals from the town’s historical archive as part of the “Combinazioni” project ahead of the Principality’s 1,000th anniversary in 2027.

In October, the museum will also run a teacher training cycle titled “L’archeologia racconta il territorio. Nuove ricerche nell’Alto Garda”, providing 6 hours of professional development. Sessions are open to the public at 6:00 pm, starting on 2 October 2026 with Emanuele Vaccaro on excavation results from Doss Penede in Nago-Torbole, followed by Elisabetta Mottes on villages and necropolises from the Paleolithic to the Copper Age (16 October), and Cristina Bassi on research at the San Cassiano settlement (30 October). Course requests and the full guide are available via the Museo Alto Garda’s education services section.
