Moniga del Garda closes its calendar of summer exhibitions hosted in the municipal building with the art show “Meraviglie del lago”, scheduled to be on view in the multipurpose room at Piazza S. Martino 1 from 16 to 28 September 2026. The exhibition brings together works by multiple artists and offers a varied, layered reading of the Lake Garda, moving between landscapes, chromatic suggestions, and scenes ranging from calm atmospheres to more intense settings.
The display opens with a painting described as a “faro in tempesta” by Elena Memini, featuring the spume of waves. It is followed by an oil painting by Walter Xausa in which, according to the show’s presentation, admirers in front of a black copy of the famous lake-sail sculpture recall a liveliness close to Sicily associated with Guttuso. Other works include a collage in blue, green and yellow by Carla Tintori turned into a fairy-tale landscape, and a lighthouse by Alessandra Garzetti, who had already opened the Moniga season with several paintings.
Among the cited pieces are a violet sunset by Giuseppe Brusco, a depiction of the quiet after a storm on the lake by Tessa Derriche, and some futuristic interpretations by Giuseppe Fuso, alongside blue geometries by Amelia del Vecchio, green and grey waves rising from the earth to the clouds painted by Paolo Cervato, and a summer haze by Mariella Ambrosini. The exhibition also includes a sunlit lemon plant by Paola Fustinoni, a few fruits in penumbra by Anna Comerlati, and a solitary tree with roots immersed in fog by Luigi Caprioli, with additional works featuring sky and lake blues with golden touches by Santina Pellizzari and decorated subjects with fruits, flowers, sails and fuchsia walls by Michela Vareschi. The show further features a view of the castle in intense green with bursts of light by Danilo Rossi, as well as works seen in the previous week, including “è subito sera” by Maria Ballatotto showing a boat on the lake. The remaining artists mentioned are Lilia Ulias, Marco Delfi Cominini with “Garzetta – Ascensione”, and Romana Romeo, Angela Tartamella and Fabio Treccani with fairy-tale distortions.
