From 11 to 13 September, the Gruppo Alpini di Sirmione, together with the Amici degli Alpini, took part in the 2° Raggruppamento of the Associazione Nazionale Alpini in Bergamo. The event was held in connection with the 105° anniversario of the Bergamo section and the 41ª Adunata sezionale, bringing together ANA sections and groups from Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna and ending with a parade through the city centre.
The municipal administration also attended, with councillor Elena Boschi wearing the tricolour sash in representation of Mayor Luisa Lavelli. The delegation from Sirmione was accompanied by Sergio Poinelli, president of the Sezione Monte Suello, and by Sirmione group leader Romano Lucon, who took part in the events and supported the group during the parade despite the heat.
The joint presence of the administration and the Alpini group reaffirmed the local connection to the values of friendship, solidarity and commitment associated with the Alpine community, highlighting the importance of the group’s volunteer work for Sirmione. The Municipality also expressed thanks to the participants for facing the summer temperatures during the parade, and to the Bergamo Alpini group for the reception and hospitality during the event.
