The Municipal Administration of Castiglione delle Stiviere will inaugurate on Friday 25 September the new canteen serving the San Pietro school complex. The ceremony will take place at 10:15 in via Lonato, 1, and the event is open to the entire community.
The infrastructure was designed by engineering firm PGS Partners S.r.l., while the works were carried out by the R.T.I. (Temporary Association of Enterprises) formed by Moschini Costruzioni S.r.l. and ZL S.r.l. The new facility has 300 seats and was planned to meet high standards of energy efficiency and seismic safety, aiming to ensure comfort and functionality for students.
The construction was funded under the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) – NextGenerationEU. Mayor Enrico Volpi said the canteen is a “concrete investment” in schools and the future of children and families, made possible through PNRR resources, while Councillor for Public Education Erica Gazzurelli noted that the new spaces already provide capacity to meet growing demand for the meal service. Vicesindaco Andrea Dara added that the project was a key objective of the Administration and will provide students with a space designed for energy efficiency, seismic safety and comfort.
