Public boats on Lake Garda are run by Navigazione Laghi, known locally as Navigarda. Ferries, boats and fast services link the Lombard, Veneto and Trentino shores, from Desenzano and Peschiera to Riva del Garda. This guide was updated in October 2026 with the timetables and fares published by the operator, and it covers the autumn, winter and spring seasons.
Timetables can change. Before you travel, check them at the ticket office or on the free number 800 551801.

The line serves the southern lake (Desenzano, Peschiera, Sirmione, Lazise, Bardolino, Garda), the Brescia riviera (Portese, Salò, Gardone, Maderno, Gargnano) and the northern lake (Brenzone, Malcesine, Limone, Torbole, Riva). Part of the daily runs ends on October 11, and a few fast services remain, with a supplement. The full run-by-run timetable is in the official Navigazione Laghi PDF, which is also valid from March 13 to 25, 2027.
Maderno–Torri car ferry
The ferry connects Toscolano Maderno, on the Brescia shore, with Torri del Benaco, on the Veneto shore. The crossing takes about 30 minutes and carries passengers, cars, motorbikes, camper vans and bicycles. It is the only Navigarda service that runs all year.

Folding bikes and closed scooters under 1.10 m travel free. Dogs up to 50 cm at the withers travel free, larger dogs pay a reduced fare, and guide dogs are free. One piece of luggage up to 60 cm and 20 kg is free; larger luggage costs €4.80 (up to 80 cm or 60 kg) and surfboards and special luggage €9.60. Pushchairs are free.
Limone–Malcesine
The Limone–Malcesine car ferry, opened in 2002, is no longer part of the Navigarda services. Between Limone sul Garda and Malcesine you cross by regular boat, on foot or with a bicycle. For travellers by car, the only ferry left is Maderno–Torri del Benaco.
