On Friday, 23 October 2026, at 6 pm, Japanese photographer Hiro Tanaka presents his photo book Viste da lago di Garda (Views from Lake Garda) at Palazzo Callas Exhibitions, in piazza Carducci, Sirmione. The book grew out of the Sirmione Photo Residency 2025.
Who will be speaking
Tanaka will be in conversation with journalist Luca Fiore and with Ludovica Pellegatta, Partnerships Director of Magnum Photos.
About the book
The volume is the fourth in the residency’s photography book collection. It portrays a down-to-earth Sirmione and Lake Garda, discovered without maps or preconceptions, letting the place reveal itself through everyday life. The images take on meaning through the way they are placed side by side, between similarities and contrasts.
Practical information
Admission is free. Booking is recommended through the Visit Sirmione website.
