Movieland Park in Lazise has been named Park of the Year 2026 at the Parksmania Awards. The prize was presented on Friday, 9 October 2026, during a ceremony held at the Movieland Theatre and dedicated to amusement parks in Italy and across Europe.
The award comes at the end of a season marked by investment and new experiences. The park renewed its offer with new attractions and activities aimed at different audiences, including families.
Bugs Town: a historic area reinvented
An entire historic area of the park has been reimagined as Bugs Town, a Wild West populated by giant insects. New attractions, original characters, animatronics and immersive sets make up the new area.
The same season also confirmed the summer evening show Sky Parade, featuring music, video mapping, choreography and drones, which returned after its success the previous year. The calendar also hosted seasonal events, from the American Beer Fest to Halloween celebrations and Christmas events.
An award for the whole team
According to Fabio Amicabile, CEO of CanevaWorld Resort, the award “tells the story of the work of an entire team and the passion with which, every day, we try to make Movieland Park a place able to surprise.” He described Bugs Town as a project “in which we believed very much”, and the public’s response as “one of the finest satisfactions of this season”.
Another Lake Garda park, Gardaland, won the same recognition in 2014, when it was named Park of the Year at the Parksmania Awards 2014.
