From 22 to 28 October 2026, charity chocolates are back in the squares of Brescia and its province with Dolci Pensieri 2026, an event run by the Associazione Oncologica Bresciana OdV (AOB), a local non-profit cancer association. About 170 volunteers will staff 42 stands to raise money for cancer research.
A donation of 15 euros gets you a 280-gram box of the traditional chocolates, available in three flavours. The list of stand locations is published on the association’s website.
“La Ricerca diventa Cura”: research becomes care
The funds are tied to the project “La Ricerca diventa Cura” (Research Becomes Care). Through it, AOB is committing 200,000 euros to fund a researcher at the University of Brescia. The project involves the university and the oncology department of the ASST Spedali Civili, Brescia’s public hospital trust.
About AOB
The Associazione Oncologica Bresciana was founded in 2017 and works in Brescia and its province to welcome and assist cancer patients and their families. Its activities include a welcome service in hospital wards, free psychological and nutritional support, and initiatives backing scientific research.
Launch event and football club support
The event was presented on Tuesday 20 October at 11 a.m. in the Council Hall of the Province of Brescia, with AOB president Michele Costa.
FC Lumezzane is also backing the campaign. Club president Andrea Caracciolo took part in a promotional video, and on Sunday 1 November AOB will have a charity stand at the stadium during the Lumezzane match.
