Sirmione Parking 2026: Rates, Hours and Free Parking

Sirmione Parking 2026: Rates, Hours and Free Parking

Parking in Sirmione costs between €1 and €4 an hour in 2026, depending on the area and the time of year. Car access to the old town is restricted at the Scaliger Castle, and guests of hotels in the centre can use Grifo Parking in Piazzale Europa. The municipality’s calendar distinguishes high season, low season on weekdays and low season on Sundays and public holidays. Among the SirmioPark car parks, two areas are free, only on low-season weekdays.

High and low season: the dates that change the price

High season runs from 1 to 7 January, from 1 March to 1 November and from 24 to 31 December. Low season covers 8 January to 28 February and 2 November to 23 December, with one rate for weekdays and a higher one for Sundays and public holidays. All SirmioPark car parks follow this calendar, with different amounts from one to the next.

Piazzale Monte Baldo: the main car park for the old town

Piazzale Monte Baldo is the main car park serving the old town and is open 24 hours a day. For cars, high season costs €3.50 an hour, with a daily rate of €28 valid until midnight. In low season, weekdays cost €1 an hour or €6 a day, while Sundays and public holidays cost €2.50 an hour or €18 a day. The other car parks charge by the hour only.

Piazzale Europa, Viale Marconi and Lungolago Diaz: rates and hours

These three areas share the same prices: €4 an hour in high season, €1 an hour on low-season weekdays and €2.50 on low-season Sundays and public holidays. Piazzale Europa has 50 spaces, Lungolago Diaz 38 and Viale Marconi, the road leading to the castle entrance, 64. Parking is allowed from 7 am to midnight, for a maximum of 8 hours.

Where parking is free

Among the SirmioPark car parks, free parking applies to two areas: via XXV Aprile, with the Tancredi Nord and Tancredi Sud car parks (127 spaces in total), and via San Vito, with 48 spaces. Parking is free from 8 January to 28 February and from 2 November to 23 December, excluding Sundays and public holidays. On low-season Sundays and public holidays the rate is €2 an hour, and in high season it is €3. Here too you can stay from 7 am to midnight, for up to 8 hours.

The via Bagnera car park, with 139 spaces, is not available to visitors: it is reserved for authorised employees. The Sirmione map also shows other parking areas, including Piazza Mercato, via Salvo D’Acquisto, the former Centro Sport in Colombare, Porto Galeazzi, Lido di Lugana, Parco Alpini, via Alfieri, via Cattaneo, via Cantarane and the Tiglio car park. SirmioPark does not yet cover every car park in Sirmione.

Live space availability and the shuttle from Colombare

SirmioPark shows real-time availability in the main car parks serving the old town, along with rates and the route to reach them. From Colombare, the old town is served by an Arriva Italia shuttle leaving from Piazza Campiello. In 2026 it ran from Saturday 28 March to Sunday 27 September, every 15 or 20 minutes, at €2 a ride. When the shuttle is not running, the Brescia-Verona suburban bus line remains available, from the stops in Piazza Unità d’Italia and Piazza Campiello. On foot, the lakeside promenade links Colombare and Lugana with the old town.

Coach parking rates

Coaches use Piazzale Monte Baldo, where entry on the days before public holidays and on public holidays is by reservation only. In high season a short stop of 20 minutes costs €20, the first hour €45 and each additional hour €25. On low-season weekdays the amounts fall to €15 for the short stop and the first hour, and €10 for each additional hour. On low-season Sundays and public holidays they are €20, €35 and €15.

Between 10 am and 4 pm the rates rise by 50%, up to a maximum of €200 for the whole day. The surcharge does not apply if the stay is booked and confirmed by the operator by 11:59 pm on the previous day.
