The solidarity walk “Walk for the Cure” will take place in Lonato del Garda on Sunday, December 1st, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, with a meeting point set for 9:30 AM at Parco Pozze. This event, launched by Komen Italia in 2023, aims primarily at the prevention of breast cancer, promoting the importance of early diagnosis and healthy lifestyles. The initiative has already engaged over 15,000 participants and raised 162,000 euros to support health education projects and assistance for women who have undergone surgery. The circular route will traverse the historic center of the city, creating an opportunity to raise community awareness about women’s health.
Mayor Roberto Tardani emphasized the importance of combining sport and well-being, highlighting how this walk represents a concrete step towards safeguarding health. Participants will receive a symbolic t-shirt with a minimum donation of 10 euros. Pre-registration is already open at several local businesses, providing everyone with the chance to join in this journey dedicated to women and their resilience in the fight against breast cancer.
