Mourning in Castiglione delle Stiviere for teacher Giovanna Messina
A deep sorrow has struck the community of Castiglione delle Stiviere with the passing of teacher Giovanna Messina, who died at the young age of 51. The educator, who dedicated nearly 25 years to teaching at the elementary school in Gozzolina, passed away on Christmas Day while on vacation in Acerra, in the metropolitan area of Naples, with her husband Gennaro Petrella and their three children. An unexpected health issue required hospitalization after experiencing respiratory distress, ultimately leading to pneumonia that proved fatal.
The funeral home for Giovanna Messina will be open from 8:30 AM tomorrow, Saturday, December 28, at the Marchetti funeral home in Castiglione delle Stiviere. The funeral service will take place at 2:30 PM at the local cathedral, where friends, colleagues, and students will have the opportunity to pay their final respects.
