Riva del Garda is gearing up to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the underwater Befana with a rich program of events culminating on Monday, January 6. This event, one of the most characteristic and well-attended in the area, will take place in Piazza Tre Novembre and is organized by the Befana Subacquea Committee in collaboration with the Riva del Garda Diving Group. To commemorate this significant milestone, the weekend will be filled with musical performances, food stands, and shows, including “A Basket Full of Solidarity” and a demonstration by trainee firefighters.
On Epiphany Day, activities will kick off at 10 AM with “Four Steps While Waiting for the Underwater Befana,” a walk along the Ponale. This will be followed by various activities, including a performance by the Gallicano Flag-Throwers and Musicians and the distribution of vouchers for gift packages. At 2:30 PM, the highlight of the day is expected as the Befana emerges from the waters of the lake, ready to deliver 1500 gift packages to the children present, alongside national athletes. The festivities will continue until 5 PM with a variety of activities to entertain both young and old.
