A serious road accident occurred yesterday afternoon, Monday, January 20, along the bypass of Valle Sabbia, in the municipality of Vobarno. The victim of the accident was a 73-year-old woman, a nun from the Ancelle della Carità of Brescia, who lost control of her vehicle and crashed into the entrance of the La Guarda tunnel around 3 PM. The incident caused damage to the guardrail and destroyed a fire extinguisher. Promptly responding, the volunteers from the ambulance service of Anc in Roè Volciano transported the woman to the Emergency Room in Gavardo in yellow code.
Also arriving at the scene of the accident were officers from the Salò Traffic Police, along with the Local Police of Vobarno to manage traffic, and Anas technicians to restore safety in the area. The accident caused significant repercussions on local traffic, with queues and delays recorded in the hours following the incident.
