The young man, not being a student at the school, had entered the premises illegally to show the weapon to his friends. After being spotted in the bathroom by school staff, he was reported, and the carabinieri were alerted, who proceeded to take him to the station along with his parents.
The situation becomes even more complicated as the boy had already displayed the pistol in a social media post in the days leading up to the incident, thus attracting the attention of his peers. Following the incident, the 15-year-old has been reported to the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office in Brescia for illegal possession of a weapon. Authorities are now questioning the boy’s friends to clarify how he managed to enter the school, and disciplinary procedures against him have been initiated pending further investigations.
