Work on the Desenzano lakeside is progressing at a steady pace, with the aim of completing the second phase of the project by spring 2025. Launched in October 2024, the construction sites stretch approximately 250 meters from the Desenzanino beach to the roundabout on Via Gramsci and include a 12-meter-wide walkway, enhanced by green areas, new seating, and a cycling path. The six-meter-tall statue “Inside Two Sails,” created by local artist Walter Xausa, will be a distinctive feature of the project, which is funded with nearly 3.7 million euros.
Additionally, the program for the third phase of the works, which will cover the stretch between the Feltrinelli pier and the alley of the Lavandaie, has recently been announced. Councillor Giovanni Maiolo has communicated the assignment of the geological survey for the final project, expected in April. The new construction sites will open after the tourist season, with the intention of completing the work by summer 2026, thereby further enhancing tourism in Desenzano.
