A hiker in distress was rescued on Monte Baldo thanks to the intervention of the Mountain Rescue team on Sunday, March 9. The man, a 37-year-old from Castrezzato, raised the alarm around 4 PM after navigating the Vallone Osanna and continuing along trail 652. During his return, he encountered difficulties descending due to a steep and snow-covered section, despite being equipped with crampons.
Rescue operators were promptly dispatched to the scene of the incident via the Verona Emergency helicopter. After reaching the hiker, they provided assistance and safely brought him back down to the valley. The operation was carried out without any further complications for the individual involved.
