The “Garda Festival” is an initiative set to debut in 2026, designed to enrich the landscape of cultural events at Lake Garda and promote sustainable tourism. This festival, strongly advocated by Maria Stella Gelmini and conceived by Giordano Bruno Guerri, will feature a diverse program of high-quality attractions. During a recent meeting among the mayors of the area, the significance of this “distributed” event was discussed, which will be centered around the Vittoriale and aims to enhance the identity of the lake through themes such as youth, innovation, literature, entertainment, and gastronomy.
A preview of the festival will take place on June 29 at the home of the Vate, where the main topics of the initiative will be presented. The goal is to engage all municipalities in the region; many endorsements have already been received, and applications to participate will remain open until April 15. The detailed program with various dates will be announced between September and October. Guerri emphasized the importance of uniting the territory under a single cultural and tourism initiative, aiming to make the Garda Festival an internationally recognized brand for the Benaco region.
