An important initiative will take place on Saturday, March 22 in Valeggio sul Mincio, where the project “We Are the Landscape” will be presented. This comic book tells the story of the landscape of the morainic hills in the hinterland of Lake Garda. The event will be held at 4 PM in the Red Room of Palazzo Guarienti and will feature the participation of the author Fabio Berti, along with representatives from the six involved municipalities: Valeggio sul Mincio, Bussolengo, Castelnuovo del Garda, Sommacampagna, Sona, and Pastrengo. This project aims to engage young people with the theme of landscape, stimulating their curiosity and awareness about the surrounding environment.
The comic consists of 28 illustrated pages that highlight the transformations of the territory over time and its distinctive elements, such as crops and waterways. Through an engaging narrative, the work emphasizes the importance of landscape conservation and the role each individual plays in its protection. Thanks to the collaboration between local authorities and the Landscape Observatory of the Morainic Hills, the material has already been distributed to municipal libraries, reaching a wide audience of young people and families interested in exploring the beauty and fragility of this unique territory.
