A partial collapse occurred today, Sunday, March 16, at an abandoned farmhouse in Desenzano del Garda, known as the former French colony, located in the Brodazzo area. The incident was reported at 1:55 PM by the operations room of the Brescia Fire Brigade, after some passersby noticed a section of the building had collapsed. The structure had occasionally been used as a shelter by homeless individuals. To ensure safety and check for any injured persons, two teams were dispatched to the scene, accompanied by canine units and specialists in earth movement.
After a thorough assessment of the situation, the Fire Brigade reported that no one was involved in the collapse. The dogs used during the operations confirmed the absence of individuals under the rubble, allowing for the exclusion of any victims. The situation is currently under control, and experts are monitoring the area to assess any further structural risks.
