Desenzano del Garda, farmhouse collapse, search for injured – Today, Sunday, March 16, a joint operation involving firefighters, law enforcement, and medical personnel was launched following the collapse of an abandoned farmhouse in the Brodazzo area. The structure, part of the former “Colonia dei francesi,” gave way due to causes yet to be determined, likely related to prolonged deterioration and recent heavy rains. The incident was reported by several local residents.
On-site operations included the deployment of search dogs to look for possible victims under the rubble, as homeless individuals had previously been spotted inside the building. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported so far. Authorities will continue to monitor the situation and conduct inspections at the site of the incident.
