A heavy vehicle accident has caused significant disruptions to the traffic on the A4, leading to queues and delays in the direction of Brescia. The incident occurred near the Ospitaletto exit, at km 206, where the vehicle caught fire close to the SP19 bridge. Emergency services and firefighters promptly responded to extinguish the flames, while the causes of the fire are currently under investigation. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported among the vehicle’s occupants.
To ensure the safety of users and facilitate firefighting operations, the provincial road 19 and the motorway section between Seriate and Ospitaletto heading towards Milan have been closed. Authorities are working to restore normal traffic flow as soon as possible.
