In Bardolino, the Tulipanomania has bloomed once again with the arrival of spring, bringing an explosion of colors thanks to 50,000 tulip bulbs that were hand-planted in the fall in collaboration with the Sigurtà Garden Park. This event, which celebrates the largest tulip bloom in Italy and the second largest in Europe, adorns the lakeside and the districts of the municipality. Mayor Daniele Bertasi highlighted the initiative’s appeal for both residents and tourists, while Count Giuseppe Inga Sigurtà oversaw the arrangement of the flowers, including rare varieties such as the Continental black tulip.
In conjunction with the floral event, a photography contest titled “Adriano Banterla” will also take place, inviting everyone to capture the beauty of the tulips. Photographs can be submitted until April 14, and voting will occur on the municipality’s Facebook page from April 21 to May 4. The three most voted photographs will be awarded during the Palio del Chiaretto on June 1, with six entrance tickets to the Sigurtà Garden Park up for grabs for the winners. The blooming has already begun and will continue over the coming weeks, promising a unique visual spectacle in the area.
