A huge pine tree was uprooted and fell in a private garden in Rivoltella on Monday morning, causing moments of fear among residents. The call to emergency services was made shortly after 8 AM, reporting the incident on Via Daniele Comboni, a residential area near the Ghizzi sports field. The tree, several meters tall, damaged the garden’s outer fence but fortunately did not cause any injuries, thanks to the prompt intervention of the Castiglione firefighters.
The firefighters took measures to secure the area, working in collaboration with local police officers from Desenzano. According to initial reports, the tree’s collapse was attributed to weakened roots; the strong winds that had been blowing since dawn have been ruled out as a contributing factor. This incident has raised concerns about the safety of gardens in the area and the need to monitor the condition of the trees present.
