Over the weekend, the team from Ghost Diving Lombardy Lakes successfully completed an important operation to recover fishing nets in the Lakes Park of the Rocca di Manerba Nature Reserve, thereby contributing to the environmental protection of Lake Garda. During the dive, the operators retrieved several remnants of nets and lines that had become entangled in the complex underwater rocky landscape of the area. “We set out with four of us on our underwater scooters under a light rain, but with excellent visibility underwater,” the team members explained on their social media channels.
The operation lasted about an hour and allowed for the removal of various scattered fishing materials, marking a significant step towards reducing pollution in the lake and protecting its ecosystem. Ghost Diving has already announced plans to conduct further explorations in the same area at greater depths, continuing their commitment to safeguarding Lombardy’s waters.
