An important initiative for surgical prevention will take place on Saturday, May 17, from 9 AM to 4:30 PM, at the Congress Center in Riva del Garda. The event, titled “One Hundred and One Ways to Avoid the Operating Room”, is organized by the General Surgery Unit of Rovereto and Arco and aims to raise public awareness about the importance of public health through preventive measures that can significantly reduce chronic diseases and hospital admissions. Alessandro Carrara, the director of the unit, will lead the proceedings alongside experts from various health fields.
Participation in the event is free but requires mandatory registration by May 11 for the public and by May 8 for healthcare professionals. Throughout the day, crucial topics related to the prevention of the most common diseases leading to surgical interventions will be discussed, with presentations on nutrition, physical activity, and cancer screenings. The presence of industry professionals will ensure a valuable exchange for both citizens and practitioners, making the meeting a strategic opportunity to promote a culture of prevention within the local community.
