During the weekend of April 26 and 27, the Garda Karate Team shone at the CSEN National Cup, held at the Palazzetto dello Sport in Pescara, where they secured a total of 13 medals. With the participation of 120 teams and over 1,500 athletes, the team achieved excellent results: three gold medals, four silver, and six bronze, thanks to outstanding performances in various categories of kumite and kata. The event also featured the presence of Mayor Carlo Masci and Sports Councillor Patrizia Martelli, highlighting the significance of the competition.
In parallel, athlete Alice Don participated in the Italian U21 and Master Karate Championships in Taranto on April 25, representing the Garda Karate Team in the U21 -61 kg category. The event was held in a single day due to CONI’s arrangements for the funeral of Pope Francis, but it saw participation from 159 teams across Italy with a total of 398 athletes. Alice Don’s performance further enriches the team’s achievements, which continues to demonstrate dedication and talent in the Italian karate scene.
