The 13 Miglia d’Annunzio Run is set to celebrate its seventh edition on May 4th, with both the start and finish taking place in Piazza Scarpetta in Gardone Riviera. This edition is particularly significant as it has been selected by Fidal for the first time to award the Regional Short Trail titles. The organizers from the Advance Garda Team, led by Vasco Piscioli, have planned an engaging event for everyone, including spectators who can follow the race on a large screen. Competing will be notable athletes such as Diego Angella, a local champion seeking his third consecutive victory, and Davide Bottarelli, the winner of last year’s edition.
In addition to the main distance of 21 km, which features a mixed course of dirt paths and roads, there will also be a competitive 10 km race and a non-competitive Family Cross Run of 5 km open to all. The event promises scenic views of the lake and a festive atmosphere suitable for both experienced trail runners and newcomers to the sport. Among the female participants, standout names include Barbara Bani and Anna Hofer, ready to compete for the podium in the women’s category.
