Moments of concern unfolded in Toscolano Maderno on the evening of Friday, May 2, when an elderly man, around 70 years old, was reported missing after he went for a walk in the surrounding woods and did not return. His wife immediately alerted the authorities, activating a search plan that involved the Carabinieri, Civil Protection, Alpine Rescue, and Firefighters, with teams coming from Brescia, Salò, and Turin, supported by a specialized canine unit.
After hours of intense efforts with no initial results, the elderly man was finally found alive, although he had sustained injuries from a fall down a slope. Recovery operations were promptly initiated to ensure his transport to the hospital for the necessary medical care.
