The Desenzano lakeside promenade is almost ready for its inauguration, scheduled for May 15. This project, which has been in the making for 15 years and involved an investment of 3.685 million euros, features a scenic walkway that extends 10 meters towards the lake, enhanced by designer furnishings, new green spaces, and modern lighting. The recent completion of the second phase of construction also included the reconstruction of the Feltrinelli pier and improvements to drainage systems to address issues related to rainwater.
Despite the removal of the Feltrinelli beach, the project provides a bike path and new areas for walking and enjoying the surrounding environment. To maintain a connection with local history, materials such as historic stones from the original lakeside have been utilized. Architect Alberto Visconti emphasized the importance of ensuring historical continuity in the design of the new structures. It is anticipated that work will continue with a third phase in the autumn, bringing further enhancements to this picturesque area.
