A new Erasmus+ project titled RESOLUTION has been approved to promote youth participation and active citizenship in rural areas. With a budget of approximately 60,000 euros, the project, which will commence in September 2025 and last for two years, is led by GAL GardaValsabbia in collaboration with various Italian organizations. The initiative aims to address challenges such as geographic isolation and the lack of opportunities for young people through training activities and exchanges that seek to strengthen the role of youth in local governance.
The program includes the establishment of Rural Youth Councils and local events to foster dialogue between young people and institutions, thereby contributing to transforming rural areas into laboratories of social innovation. Tiziano Pavoni, President of GAL GardaValsabbia, emphasized the importance of harnessing the energy of new generations to make these areas more attractive and vibrant. RESOLUTION thus serves as a replicable model for enhancing youth engagement in peripheral contexts, creating connections between local communities and Europe through the Erasmus+ program.
