On Saturday, May 10, a delegation from the **Garda Karate Team** participated in the **Open of Postojna**, held at the gym of the secondary school in Postojna, Slovenia. The competition, organized by the Karate Club Postojna, featured 77 teams from eight countries, with a total of 669 entries. Among the Italian participants, the Garda Karate Team stood out with seven athletes, supported by coaches and parents.
During the event, team members faced various challenges in their kumite matches. Notable achievements included **Vigevani Isabella** securing first place in the U14 +50 kg category, as well as fifth-place finishes by **Vezzola Alan** (U10 -30 kg), **Tonni Alessandro** (U12 -35 kg), and **Forgioli Martina** (U14 -45 kg). The team expressed satisfaction with the experience, emphasizing that competing abroad represents a significant opportunity for the personal growth of the athletes.
