Gardone Riviera triumphs at the Maestri dell’Espresso Junior competition

A cocktail dedicated to the poet, named “Extreme Passion”, triumphed at the national competition Junior Espresso Masters, recently held at Mumac in Milan. Created by Roberto Bonvicini, a student from the Caterina de’ Medici Hotel Institute in Gardone Riviera, the drink captured the jury’s attention among 64 participating schools and a total of 1,000 students from across Italy. The school principal, Marialuisa Orlandi, highlighted that after nine months of preparation and selections, only eight students made it to the finals.

The winning cocktail recipe combines espresso with a flavored plant-based drink, which includes Alchermes and grenadine, gin, elderflower extract, lemon juice, and dried rose petal powder, all topped off with an aromatic bubble created using a Smoke Gun. The first two ingredients were provided by Illy Caffè, the competition’s partner.
