Voluntary manslaughter in Desenzano: argument at the station ends in tragedy

A tragic incident occurred on Saturday morning following a dispute at the Desenzano del Garda railway station, resulting in the death of a 46-year-old Moroccan man. The victim, who sustained severe head injuries during a violent altercation with a 28-year-old Romanian man, died at the Civile Hospital in Brescia. According to the accounts provided by the carabinieri, the argument escalated rapidly when the young assailant struck the victim with a punch, causing him to fall to the ground. The condition of the 46-year-old was already critical, and despite attempts to assist him, he did not survive.

On the night between Friday and Saturday, investigators arrested the suspect, who is now facing charges of unintentional homicide. An investigation is currently underway under the supervision of the Brescia Prosecutor’s Office to clarify the circumstances and the reason that triggered the altercation, which appears to have stemmed from trivial matters. The 28-year-old is currently held in Brescia prison awaiting further developments in the case.
