An incident caused traffic to come to a standstill on the Gardesana in the afternoon of Saturday, May 24, when a truck lost its cargo near Benella, between Gardone Riviera and Toscolano Maderno. The vehicle was transporting a large motorboat which, after hitting a retaining wall, overturned onto the roadway, blocking passage in both directions. The incident occurred around 4:15 PM and resulted in significant disruptions to traffic.
Local police quickly intervened to manage the situation and direct traffic while awaiting the arrival of a crane to remove the vessel. Long queues formed on both sides of the road, further complicating the already challenging Saturday traffic. It was only around 6:30 PM that the situation returned to normal with the resumption of road circulation.
