Padenghe: New Ordinance Against Alcohol Consumption on the Beach Until October The Municipality of Padenghe has implemented a new ordinance prohibiting the consumption of alcohol along the coastline, effective until October 31, 2025. This measure aims to ensure safety and combat urban decay, stipulating that from 4:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following day, the possession, consumption, and sale for take-away of alcoholic beverages in any container, including through vending machines, is prohibited. Authorized activities along the beach are exempt from this ban.
Fines for those who violate this ordinance amount to 200 euros. The Municipality justifies this decision with the intention of reducing vandalism, disturbances to public peace, and littering—situations frequently associated with irresponsible alcohol consumption, particularly on weekends when there is a significant influx of young people.
