A significant success marked the 2024-2025 edition of the educational project “Desenzano… in our hands,” promoted by the Municipality of Desenzano del Garda and hosted at the “G. Rambotti” Civic Archaeological Museum. Launched in the 2021/2022 school year, the project serves as an important opportunity for collaboration between educational institutions and the local community, addressing a civic education theme each year. This year, the focus has been on water and environmental protection, aiming to raise awareness among young people about caring for the lake through creative activities. The works created by the students will be on display until June 1 in the museum’s cloister, providing a space for expression and dialogue.
Numerous schools participated, involving 61 classes and sections from preschool to lower secondary education. Each school received a grant to support the purchase of materials necessary for their projects. The Councillor for Education and Ecology, Cristina Degasperi, emphasized the importance of the initiative in fostering informed citizens regarding environmental protection. Furthermore, the continuation of the project for the next school year has already been announced, promising new challenges and experiences for the participating students.
