A theft occurred last Thursday afternoon at the Aldi supermarket in Moniga del Garda, where two women, aged 50 and 55, both of Romani ethnicity and residents of Puegnago sul Garda, were arrested by the Local Police of Valtenesi. The women were caught red-handed while attempting to steal food items valued at over 100 euros; the store manager noticed them hiding the goods in their bags, and when they tried to leave without paying, they attempted to flee in a car.
Thanks to the swift intervention of the officers, the vehicle was quickly intercepted. Both arrested individuals were already known to law enforcement for offenses such as robbery and fraud. Following the validation of their arrest, they were required to sign in daily at the judicial police while awaiting trial.
