An **11-year-old boy** was rescued by a **26-year-old** man after falling into the Seriola Lonata canal in **Bedizzole** on Sunday, June 1. The incident occurred in the early afternoon at the Airone Park, where the boy, while playing with friends, attempted to retrieve a ball that had fallen into the water. Unfortunately, the current swept him away, putting his life in serious danger. The timely intervention of the young man, who is of Albanian origin and resides in Brescia, proved crucial: without a second thought, he jumped into the canal to reach the boy.
After being carried by the current for several hundred meters, both managed to find a safe spot. Meanwhile, some witnesses raised the alarm, and rescuers quickly arrived on the scene along with the firefighters and carabinieri from Montichiari. Fortunately, neither the boy nor his rescuer suffered serious injuries, although they experienced moments of great fear. This heroic act prevented an impending tragedy in the quiet Lombard locality.
