On Saturday, May 31, the athlete from Brescia, alongside Alice Codato, secured a prestigious silver medal in the women’s pair event, having led the race for more than half of the distance before being overtaken by strong Romanian competitors. Meriano expressed her satisfaction with the performance, thanking the Carabinieri Sports Corps and the Canottieri Garda Salò for their support.
The following day, Sunday, June 1, another success followed: in the final of the women’s eight, the Italian crew demonstrated great determination and skill. With an impressive performance, the athletes overtook Romania and maintained their pace until the finish line, thus earning a well-deserved bronze medal behind Great Britain and the Netherlands.
