Desenzano del Garda: Assault and Attempted Theft on Train, Two Young Men Reported An assault occurred aboard a regional train, leading to the reporting of two young men for attempted theft, one of whom is a minor. The incident took place on Thursday, June 5, shortly after the train departed from Brescia station, when a man was approached by two boys interested in his baseball cap, valued at around 250 euros. After enduring verbal harassment, the victim attempted to defend himself but was repeatedly punched during the theft attempt.
Managing to break free and disembark at Desenzano del Garda station, the man immediately alerted the authorities at the nearby Police Station. Thanks to the description provided to the officers, the two assailants were quickly identified and apprehended near the station. Upon undergoing fingerprinting at the police station, it was revealed that one of the boys was already known to law enforcement, while the other had no prior record. Both were reported at liberty on charges of attempted robbery, and investigations are ongoing to ascertain any other similar incidents on the same route.
